Pickup details

Pickup from any hotel or location within Dubai city Port Rashid (cruise terminal) is included in the tour. Pickup from Jabel Ali, Dubai Investments Park, Sharjah, Ajman will be available on request for an additional cost based on your location. Guests must be ready for pickup 45 minutes before tour start time.

What To Expect

Choose from 4-hour program that includes dune bashing, sandboarding and camel ride or the full 7-hour program with the addition of a BBQ dinner and enjoy many other activities at a VIP Bedouin-style camp'.

Start your experience with pickup in a safari-style 4WD vehicle from your central Dubai hotel and zoom into the remote Lahbab desert that lies outside the city.

During the drive, your guide answers any questions and shares information about the region. Head off road into bright red dunes and have your camera ready to capture what looks like giant beanbags of sand. During a break to gather the convoy, make use of optional quad bikes on-site. Then hold tight as you cruise toward the highest slopes. Feel the adrenaline race as your 4x4 plows up the dunes before sliding and slipping back down the slopes, churning up billowing clouds of sand in the process.

Reach a high desert dune for a photo stop and admire 360-degree views of the desert landscape as the sun slowly sets (afternoon tour). Take a camel ride and surf the dunes on a sandboard before you continue on to a Bedouin-style camp hidden in the middle of the desert (if upgrade selected).

The 4-hour tour ends here and you are returned to your Dubai hotel.

For those who have chosen a 7-hour tour, proceed to a torchlit camp, settle inside a cushion-strewn tent, and savor some fresh Arabian coffee and dates. Your safari guide will brief you about the various activities available: smoke a shisha (water pipe), decorate your hands with henna designs, and take pictures in traditional Arabic clothes.

As dusk falls, dig into a scrumptious barbecue dinner of dishes such as kebabs, hummus, and salads accompanied by sodas and mineral water, and additional drinks (own expense) from the bar. While you eat, enjoy a colorful belly dancing show and tanoura performance, where fast-spinning dancers whirl across the stage. If you wish, click snaps with Arabian falcons at the camp.

Finally, return to Dubai by 4x4, where your experience concludes with a hotel drop-off.

Great day from start to finish . Camel rides , sand basking and sand boarding as a family we all loved it

Not thrilling enough - and way too short

Sren_H,

Oct 2022

It was nice experiencing the vastness og the desert. However. We had paid for a 4 hour experience. In total we were away from our hotel 3 hours and 20 minutes. From which almost two hours was transporting us back and forth from Dubai to Oman where the red dunes are. The camel ride was at most 4-5 minutes and maybe 50 meters. The 4WD dune ride was 10 minutes followed by a 20 minutes break to do the sand dune surfing, and then a 6-8 minute drive staight back to the starting point. The ride was mediocre from adrenaline point of view. I was being told to expect crazy driving. This was more like hastely desert cruising. Deeply dissatisfied with the duration! The 45 minute that the trip was too short could have been spend driving in the dunes - that would have made it great. So I do not recommend these guys. They are not delivering the product you pay for.

Great if you are lucky to get a good driver.

The ride was exciting but there were too many time gaps doing nothing at all, waiting in the hot sun... Not all drivers take good pictures so you may be left with no souvenir photo...

Awesome

Abbas was my travel guide and he was so lovely. He redirected his route and accommodated me to pick me up as I had accidentally went to the wrong pickup location (I had just landed from my flight). He told me to wait and thankfully picked me up and was very understanding. He made great conversation and always checked up on me as I was a solo traveller and ensured I was ok and fed. He also gave me 2 water bottles as I had an irritated cough and throughout the journey he kept asking I was ok. I loved every part of the desert safari, camel riding was such a great experience as well as the dune bashing. I’m glad I booked this trip as my stopover to Dubai and would recommend and do this again. Thanks for the lovely experience!

Great show, nice 4WD

anneke_f,

Oct 2022

We loved the show at night, dancers, fire and BBQ. The food was excellent, service too. Henna paint, my daughter loved. The only less desirable was the mass tourism factor, the first stop was at a place where you could ride an MPV. The whole area was very dirty and loud, irritating shop owners trying to lure you in. If this stop was cancelled from the program the tour would be excellent. The 4WD in the sand dunes was nice too, all though many vehicles, it kind of spread out. We had a nice tour guide.

Karthik_R,

Oct 2022

Ismail was our guide.he was very prompt..contacted us apriori. The ATV experience was wonderful. After that, we did the 4x4 dune bashing. Ismail made it a thrilling ride. The night camp was eventful with very good bbq food with vegetarian choices, salads. The dance performance and fire dance was a good conclusion to the event. Worth the price we paid. This is a must. Mind you that the ATV experience is extra so carry cash with you - no ATMs in the camp area.

Too much waiting and wasting time!

David_D,

Sep 2022

We have mixed feelings about this tour. We took the 7 hour tour with the bbq option. Our tour guide was very nice and professional and came to pick us on time but we feel that the time spent for the tour highlight (40 minutes only of dune bashing and desert stop to take pictures ) was considerably poor regarding the large amount of waiting and wasting time at a big tourist trap ( 1 hour before and another hour after the dune bashing) where you need to pay an exorbitant amount of money for a buggy ride in the dune. If you choose not to do it, you have to wait in the blazing sun turning away a never ending wave of people trying to sell you stuff. Since the other family that were with us in the car bought extra tickets for this buggy ride but did not manage to do it at the first stop , we had to wait then another hour after the dune bashing !Furthermore , the bbq dinner was too much crowdy with all the tour company guests (~150 people) and the food was average. The show was ok.To summarise , this 7-hour tour does not worth all the wasting and waiting time (2 hours drive back and forth from Dubai to the desert location , 2 hours waiting time in a tourist trap ) for only less than one hour dune bashing . If you really want to do it take the 4 hours tour without the bbq option.

He was in pain all the trip and we were stuck in the middle of the dessert. I dont understand how such trips are not prepared with any medicines or aids. I asked for just spirto to put on his stomach to reduce the pain no one had. Honestly we didnt enjoy but maybe if the trip was well occupied it would have been better
